3RD ROCK TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. is an Alaskan Non-Profit International Corporation. 3RTS is applying with the IRS for 501 (c) (3) tax exemption status .

Our purpose is to provide Humanitarian Demining and Unexploded Ordnance Services (UXO). Many countries in Africa and our neighbors to the South do not have the technical skills or the financial resources to pay for professional Demining and Unexploded Ordnance Services.

Our mission is to " Return Remediated and Viable land to the people".

The scope of our overseas operations will include not only Africa, Central and South America, but The Balkans and the Far East.

In Jan. 2002 the Ammunition Storage Point in Lagos, Nigeria accidentally blew up and munitions were scattered everywhere.

In Mar. 2007 an Ammunition Storage Point in Maputo, Mozambique blew up.

Recently, an Ammunition Storage Point in Algeria blew up.

Accidents involving Mines and Unexploded Ordnance occur frequently in many areas of the world. After these accidents occur, the growth of an area and daily life is interrupted and lands become extremely hazardous until the problem is corrected.

Not only can we assist, by helping clean up disasters such as these, the Training and Inspection Services we can provide will help prevent these types of accidents in the future.

Sadly, Landmines and Unexploded Ordnance remain long after the guns and battlefields are silent, and many problem areas remain today long after the accidents have occurred.
